Gardening in the Winter!

I'm excited to try growing some things in the winter with a Frost Protection Cover! #wintergarden I plan on trying some lettuce, spinach, swiss chard and peas!

New Mop

I used my DREDGE(TM) Best all in 1 kit Dry & wet cleaning mop kit today and I loved it. I have used a swiffer before but have been wanting to try one like this. The first thing I noticed was that it gets right up to the edges. I am thrilled. I always struggle to get the edges and especially the corners and this mop gets right in there. I just wet the mop cloth, wrung it out and plopped it on the floor with the white side up. I took the mop and stuck the metal head on the cloth and it velcroed right on there without any issue. When it got dirty I pulled the cloth off and rinsed it out and repeated the process until I was finished. When my husband came home he noticed I had done the floor. He NEVER notices! I am still in shock. It isn't even that it was so bad but he saw it was cleaner. There are three different cloths that come with this. There are no directions to direct you as to which cloth to use in what way. They should include instructions. I used the medium one for my floor. You can also use your own cloths if you wish. There are holes to stick the cloth in like you do with a swiffer. The hole bars slide to adjust to different size cloths. I think that was a great idea. The handle is telescoping so you can adjust it to what is comfortable for you. And it can take less room in the closet. When you turn each pole it tightens into place. The other thing that I really likes was that I moved around the dining room table and chairs without having to move each one out from the table. I could get right in there and around to clean under the table. I really recommend this if you are looking for this kind of map with out paying the big price for the brand my friend has. This works very well and if my husband noticed yours will too. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Easy Lemon Pie!

I just made my first lemon pie and it was so easy! I tried to eat it while it was still warm and I found that to be a bit bitter but after chilling it and topping it with whipped cream it is great! Here is the recipe! Note that I used an organic lemon since almost the whole thing is used.

Nice Gaming Mouse

I wrote a review of the HAVIT HV-MS691 Ergonomic Wired Gaming Mouse. This is the best mouse I have used so far. I'm really happy with it. Quiet, works well, just not a fan of the lights but it is a gaming mouse so that is to be expected. I received a discount on it for my honest review.

Joint Pain

So I have been struggling with joint pain and I believe I am finding some relief with the Gelatin drink. Apparantly gelatin has a ton of amino acids especially ones that rebuild connective tissues. It also helps with inflammation. This post also has a lot of good information about it. I've been taking it for 4 days and definitely see improvement. This would also be of great nutritional value for someone who doesn't like to eat meat and doesn't have a source of these Amino acids.

L'Oreal Paris Magic B.B. Cream

I found a great new way to make a little extra money. It is Jingit which runs through Facebook. You watch super short videos and each one is worth a certain amount which gets deposited into your account right away. You request a money card which they mail to you and then all the money gets deposited right in. You can make $5 a week just watching some short videos but if people you invite join, then you can earn even more. Jingit videos seem to pay way more than the Beezag videos and it seems much easier.

Teenage Acne

I have struggled with my son's acne. I have kept him supplied with acne products but nothing was helping. Then I read Jessica Wu's new book, Feed Your Face. She talked about how what we are eating effects our skin. She said that sugar was terrible for acne and that the products containing Salicylic acid (like all the ones I had purchased) did not help for teenage acne. She said that teenage acne was best treated by Benzoyl Peroxide (the same product that is in Proactiv.) I went to Walmart and found that only a a few of the products contained the Benzoyl Peroxide, most contain the Salicylic acid instead. One is an ointment called Zapzyt. Zapzyt has almost totally cleared up my son's acne! What a difference! I totally recommend it.
