Why you need to write a will

It is important for you and your spouse to write a will. If one dies without a will bank accounts could be frozen so the surviving spouse may not have access to needed money. Also it is important to have your say in who will get custody of your children. Go to Free Legal Documents to get a free template of a will and other legal documents. Just copy and paste into a Word document, fill in the blanks, and sign it in front of witnesses. Each state is different in their requirements.

  1. Remember, also, to designate a guardian for your children unless you want the state or perhaps, their weird uncle raising them-in the unforseen chance you both die at the same time.
